once again we have experts on the board because they have only seen whats on tv..how American!! Ur not from australia and ur not from Cronulla
( thats where the riots are if u wernt sure ) The YOUNG Arabs are a problem in this area and Sydney and have been for years with there pack mentality harrassing young women on the beach in Cronulla. 2 weeks ago an Australian Icon the Surf Lifesaver ( iff u wernt sure what that is ) stepped in to stop 10 Labaneese bashing a young girl and her boyfriend , and was set upon by the pack of lebs , and for there trouble for helping the couple , were put in hospital, critical care unit. This was the last straw...has nothing to do with racism its all about preserving the way of right in Australia..u want to live here then just fucking relax this is what we do here best..dont come here and push this Islam shit down our throats and tell us the women should cover up and santa claus has nothing to do with Allah , so we shouldnt have one. What the Fuck!! Australians are the most relaxed people in the world and thats why every prick wants to live here. But dont piss us off.

I think it can be said that their own rulers raped their resources. Hard to find a non-billionaire Arab ruler isn't it? In any event they don't belong in Australia, they don't act like Australians, identify with Australians, don't respect Australian culture or people (especially women), and no true Australian ever invited them here (only a sellout Government did against the wishes of Australians for 30+ years). I only wish you were in Sydney this coming weekend, the showout of Aussie strength is going to be twice as big.

To answer your direct question, if a young Arab walks through Cronulla tonight he will get his head smashed in, yes. There have already been instances where around 100 Aussies surronded some car loads of Arabs who entered the area to cause trouble last night, before the Police escorted the Arab individuals out of the area.

The tension is high, and it will last all summer. I think it can be safe to say the only young Arab men who will enter Cronulla this summer will be those looking for a fight (and I predict there will be alot of them going in for this reason), because no smart, honest young Arab would go there with tensions running so high.

I just saw a report on CNN regarding the "riots". You've gotta love the media, they made out like aussie's were attacking muslims for no reason, that the poor muslims were terrified and fearing for their lives, then cut to footage of someone yelling, "Get out of our country!" Didn't say anything about what sparked the whole situation or anything. It's like they are trying to link it all to racism regarding 911, when in actual fact it's got nothing to do with the fact that they are muslim, but their behaviour as gangs on the beaches.

Hey Cheif, no I won't be going to Cronulla on sunday. Although I grew up in the area, its not really my thing. I can understand why the the locals (and most australians) are pissed with young Lebanese men...i have seen first hand what they are like. My sister was bashed in the city for her cab charge, my mum was attacked when she returned to her car in a shopping center when 3 Lebanese men were inside her car about to steal it. Ive had my own car stollen by them. (chased them in my sisters car and the cops pulled over me! go figure!) I have heard so many stories in regards to them bashing, stealing and raping Australians, I can understand why australia is now finally fed up. I beleive what happened at Cronulla on Sunday was both a good and bad thing. Bad because innocent middle eastern "looking" men/women were attacked. Good because now the government will start to listen to what the community has been trying to tell them for the past 15 years. Have fun on Sunday

Right, no one said they were saints. They are reacting to what has happened to this country for 30+ years and ignored by the media and politicians (and don't think this is a Cronulla wide issues only - Australians are coming from as far as South Australia and Perth are coming across to attend this weekend). I don't think it is pretty or nice, but I think for the most part it is an inevitable response to irresponsible policies by our Government and the fact that they have absolutely ignored their opinions.

Well I don't think many whitepride/ultra nationalists really attended. Most of those out of towners came down from other Sydney beaches actually. Most of the out of towners that will attend this weekend (just like the cronulla locals that will attend this weekend) feel that the issue a much larger one than just Cronulla beach, even if that is were things are being played out. I think most of the Aussies that turn up this weekend from out of town will just be regular Australian guys who have no outlet for their opinions, and who are sick of the intimidation, etc these people cause when they get in groups (whether it is Cronulla or Penrith).

Can't scapegoat them as much as i'd like to - there are far too many other factors, although I'm personally surprised at the level of organisation/deployment of the groups there and they sure as hell didn't help the situation.
I'd like to add that a large chunk of Lebanese are more christian than most Australians (although still a ~30% minority). Not that I care for that personally but it's not like they're all muslims which is the problem when race is involved...
