    King Kong the movie - read this

    I have a question, does the girl in the movie fall in love with the gorilla or what? I just saw a preview for it on TV and it looks like she did.

          Have you seen the original? She doesn't "fall in love" per se. She and others just sympothize with Kong. Damn good movie...can't wait for the new one. Looks better than the original.

              Ah, I haven't seen the original. By the previews and stuff it looks like she falls in love with that thing. Wouldn't surprise me, the media is filled with all that type of bullshit.

                  I thought that was kind of the point - she falls in love with Kong.. it's one of those tragic love stories cos they can never be together.. at least, that was always my understanding of King Kong - I haven't seen this version yet, I did hear it stayed faithful to the original story though
