Question for requesters and producers of fansigns
With all the talk of fansigns lately, I was thinking of writing an application that would help facilitate the requesting and distribution of the fansigns.
Basically it would be a site where models can register to show that they are available to produce signs and other webmasters can then sign up to request them. The models will see a list of all their requests, who they are for, and the desired text for sign. Once they are completed, they can then upload the finished signs to the system and the requesters will be notified that they can pick them up. There are all kinds of things that can be done to help streamline the process and make it much more reliable/efficient. The system could be later expanded to give models the ability to create and distribute fansigns for site members how wish to buy them. To help save time for the models and their photographers, the images can be created automatically by adding the 'approved' surfers message to canned images and then sent off. Think it would be worth while?

I think it's a good idea, but, probably very, very tough to implement unless you already have huge traffic sources..
eg: if some big message board with webmasters and content producers did it, then yeah ![]() but, you never know! good luck! |

I'm working on something like this but I'm not sure if fansigns will ever be big.
Anyways, my new humble little website: http://www.fan-signs.com/ And if models like to submit: http://www.fan-signs.com/submit.php |
