Why do you do porn?

Hey folks, it?s been awhile since I?ve posted but after reading a few other posts, this topic kind a struck a cord with me and I was looking for some feedback.

Why are you doing porn?

Is it because you like working 10-12-14 hours a day?
(Except maybe on the weekends?)

Is it because you can make, $10k-$25K in profits every month
(This a good # for an AVERAGE AFTER expenses?)

Is it because you think being an adult web-master makes you more appealing to the opposite sex? (LOL)

I hear it a lot that porn is where it?s ?AT!? That there?s money to be made, if you just work at it! Which I totally agree but have to wonder at what cost?

I mean, If someone works 12 hours a day, 5 days a week on average, then over the course of a year they?ve spent over 3100 hours bent over a computer.
(Is a income of $120k worth it...Curious?)

Take it a bit further you?re actually worth $38 bucks an hour. Yeah, I know not many jobs pay this type of salary, unless you?re an executive with the right company but to work so many hours and not really get out much, in the way of a social life, I just wonder how some of you plan on keeping this type of income coming in over the years to come? I mean, this isn?t really the type of business you could set up on autopilot and walk away from for months at a time?

So, why do porn?

Why do I work with porn...

1. No Boss!

2. Can work from home.

3. Can work my own hours.

4. Able to take breaks, vacations without asking some dickhead if i'm allowed.

5. Can locate anywhere in the world and within 5 minutes direct all sponsors to pay at my new address.

6. Get to look at naked girl pics while "working". Beats flipping burgers or lifting shit around.

7. Money is decent.

1) beating everyone else at their own game. i am hyper competitive

2) money. i'll be retiring (in 14 - 20 months - after working for what will be a total of roughly 7 years in this industry), and will never have to work again. ever. that's an extremely powerful motivation for me. now that it's so close, it keeps me going harder then ever.

3) to be honest, i simply love the internet. i know i'll always be involved with it, but likely not in a bottom-line-business sort of way, once this current phase of my life is over.

ok, this will be my first post on this board, after lurking for a while, thnx for some good laughs now and then

The answer is pretty easy:

1) money - I've been doing this for exactly 2 years and in 1 month I make what equals 9-10 months of my former income (and I wasn't flipping burgers . I expect it to raise quite a bit in the near future

2) the low initial investment in relation to the possible future profit, you can hardly find a biz which looks more promising, even now, where everybody says the market is oversaturated. I'm building 10 niche paysites together with a friend right now, and I expect the initial investment to be equaled out after 3-6 months and from there it's profit only (I hope, pray pray), show me another biz where this is possible (no pimpin' for me

3) Time; you're right the initial work is pretty hard. I worked 10-13 hours 7 days a week the first year (but I did so on my other job anyways). But now I can keep my income stable with 10 hours work a week and improve it by doing more than that.
The last 3 months I haven't touched my sites or anything, just building the paysites, which will be launched in a month or so and yet I've improved my income every month, which means when you reach a certain plateau, you suddenly have time for trying out new things, without having to ask your boss or loose income.
You're definetely wrong about the autopilot thing. If you work the SE's you can be on autopilot for quite some time before it bites your ass.

4) besides all that it's quite funny to generate traffic, think out sales pitches and experimenting. The only thing I hate is the repeating tasks, which you have do a billion times (doorways, avs-fronts, submitting galleries etc.) gets quite boring after a while.

I do this because of the money mostly. What I make two days doing this is what I got every two weeks working part time retail.

My goal right now is to make $5000 a month by August and I know that is very possible the way I am going.

Besides, I don't mind sitting in front of the computer for extended periods of time. I can watch TV while working, talk on the phone, instant message friends, eat, etc etc.

for me, it's hard to make alot of money in this business, due to limited skills, all I can gain from working in this buss. is learning how to gain traffic and how it flows and hopefully oneday this information can be useful for me.
