I do silly stuff when I feel bad, but it always makes me feel better. Last time I was very upset, here's what I did.

I made a boredom jar (when you're upset, you tend to not be able to think of fun things to do). Each time I was bored, I gave myself a choice. I had to put $20 into the boredom jar, *OR* I had to find something fun to do within 5 minutes. I was about 18 years old with a shitty job, and losing $20 was a big deal.

I would ALWAYS force myself to do something, and I would always feel better at the end of the day. I think about $80 ended up in the boredom jar, and that was only cause I realized I was tired or hungry, and ended up eating or sleeping instead of finding something entertaining.

Side note.. remember to eat and sleep well if you're feeling bad. You might have to force yourself to do it, but you'll feel better a lot faster.
