R.I.P
sad to see a comic legend pass :( |
Bro, you were truly ahead of your time.....
R.I.P. A True Pimp :pimp |
How tragic.
Richard Pryor was, no IS, without a doubt the man who changed the face of comedy. Single handedly too. Did you guys ever see his bit part he played in the original "Wild Wild West" ? He was funny then! He ushered in 3 generations of comedians. One of the rare giant, original talents and outspoken too. He was always 'real' about things. I remember when he damned near killed himself from freebasing and caught fire. He told the cops he wasn't freebasing but he mixed homogenized milk with non-homogenized milk and it exploded. Geez, we have to do something in this world to battle and rid ourselves of these kinds of illnesses like MS. We have the tools and talent to make illnesses go away. |
Live performances were always amazing but there are a couple of movies he did that really stood out:
Stir Crazy - If you havent seen this - you gotta do it. Often regarded as one of the best comedy performances ever: "Thats right! We're bad...." Brewsters Millions - Superb. |

So many people but that movie down but it is one of my faveorite 'time suck' movies. I know it is a remake but I will watch it most times it is on tv and enjoy it each time. I hope Chris Rock sends big flowers..after all he inherited his act. |
I also like his bit in Car Wash for some reason.
RIP to a great comedian..... the man was a genius!
damn thats a shame... his movies were awesome...
damn :( :(
peace
I remember him mostly from "supa" man |
A fond farewell to a legend. Rest In Peace.

He will be greatly missed. He shits on most of the comics today including Dave Chappelle.
Remember that time he stole millions of dollars all in half cents from the bank and then got taken over by his super computer by having tons of chips and metal stuck to him.
That was awesome. |
RIP Richard you gave me many a laugh

Heh heh, I didn't know that. :1orglaugh |
My 2 favorite of his movies were Bustin' Loose and Stir Crazy. My friend just happened to have a copy of Another You (with Gene Wilder) which I somehow had never seen and we just finished watching it. :thumbsup
Shame, he was a favourite.
i feel bad. when tony told me he died, i had thought he was already dead. :(
I was a big fan of him. Thanks Richard for the many laughs. I'll be missing you :(
P.S. Tell John Candy I say hi. |
RIP Richie! :(
Between him and Lenny Bruce there was a whole change to the world of free speech that most people dont know about (or werent around during the 60s and 70s when it was happening) - but he is truly a pioneer and will hopefully be remembered as such - it takes a huge man to take on the ills of society that he took on
He was hilarious. He will definitely be missed. Sadly, he was on his way out anyways. Wasn't he confined to a wheelchair?
DAMN.... poor fucker. I loved him. RIP Richard.
Richard Pryor was awesome.
RIP. I loved him in Stir Crazy w/ Gene Wilder. Brewster's Millions was another goodie.
R.I.P Mr. Pryor
Rip..... :(
I had just started introducing my 18 year old to his work.
After a 19 year long battle, chances are he might have been ready to wave the white flag. For the rest of us, however it is a sad day, because his talent was a one in a million kind of deal. Godspeed Mr. Pryor |
May he rest in peace :(
I loved Richard, funny man...
Peace |
this was really funny man... too bad he's dead... :(
I always thought he was awesome... Sadness~ :(
