Great idea, it just remembered me of a story in the book Fools Die from Mario Puzzo.

One of the characters always chatted escorts and other show girls then he would suggest that they went to his room and he would put $100 in an envelope and say that he would be glad to pay for the girls taxi when they were done.

The trick was that he had another envelope with a $10 in that same pocket, the girls not wanting to look greedy would never check the money in front of him.

If they got back he would just say they were crazy if they thought a taxi ride would cost more than $10 and pretended to be offended by the suggestion that he would ever paid to get laid.
