Best era for Music in your opinion?

What`s your preference:

70`s
80`s
90`s
This decade.

And for you old bastards I suppose I better mention the hippy 60`s.

I was too young to appreciate it at the time but listening to some of the great soul and disco sounds from the 70`s nowadays means I am rooting for that decade.

Discuss.

as far as my favorite, electronic, mid 90's was the absolute best....but it still is good now

as far as mainstream stuff, i would have to say the most energy came out of the mid 70's to mid 80's....

Late 60's early 70's.
You can actually hear the passion the singers had.

I'm going to have to go with the 80's. Not sure why, I'm just a fag when it comes to 80's music. And I even agree that it sounds horrible but I still love it.

70's to early 80's

Tom Petty
Aerosmith
David Bowie
Led Zepplin

to name a few...

Music today definitely sucks, and most of it is cover songs from the 70's to early 80's

well for real music (as opposed to the noise today) it was the 40's, jazz, nat king cole, etc.

also the early 70's was good, (paul simon, carole king, james taylor).

these folks were actual musicians, could read and write music, and made very sophisticated melodies.

quality stands the test of time.

in 20 years no one will know who lenny kravitz and eminem are, but they will still know bacharach, paul simon, etc.
