Never fails that 1 out of every three HD's or CD's we send to Canada, gets returned for more specific information or gets held due to Canadian customs wanting more on the packaged declared value. I heve several clients in Toronto and Windsor... same issue no matter how detailed we are in our shipments to them. Its nothing new ot get packages bounced back from Canada. I mean its a weekly issue.

I have nothing against SOS, but it seems with every single transaction this guy makes theres a huge learning curve for him and while he is learning, he blames a second party for his lack of experience. Shit happens and when you are shipping out of country, more shit can happen. I HIGHLY doubt that Fantasy set out to fuck SOS over. I would bet my life that the situations FC is are citing are 100% true and are even reasonalble considering all.

I just dont see the value of burning bridges everytime something does not go exactly your way or to the exact timeline you demand. Plus why would anyone want to take the risk of doing business with SOS in the future knowing the the slightest of issues that happen in business from day to day will be aired for all to see? I mean, as I mentioned before.. this is far from the first time sos has had an issue with a content provider... seems like a ongoing theme with him which makes me wonder who exactly is at fault here.

EXACTLY! As I stated, he has a history of crying about this shit.

I have a client who is making payments on a content deal. They had a payment due on December first. I called them to remind them and even emailed an invoice for the payment 2 days before it was due.

I was assured by the client that it had been taken care of. 6 days later the wire had not arrived so I followed up again and found out that there had been some miscommunication is their office and the wire had not gone out as thought.

You didn't see me run to GFY and start some shit with them. The wire was processed the next day and life goes on. We are still doing business and all parties are happy.

Not everything goes as planned all the time. In fact, when you are depending on others, they rarely go as planned. Doesn't matter if the other person is your banker, a content provider, Customs, or a crybaby webmaster in Vancouver B.C. who thinks the world revolves around him.

Oh and Brad...I love how you never had the balls to show your face to baddog when you were living in the area but now that you are safe in Canada you are running your mouth even more. You are a sad excuse for a human being.

Also, the mail is all wacky here on the east coast as of late. Ive gotten servers to LA for Colo quicker than into Atlanta for some reason this week.

I don't even ship my own packages anymore because of the issues I had with SameOldShit. I had to find an alternative method but considering that the packages are going to known porn companies, they are still having problems getting through.

At one point I was sending packages to a clients brother in a different part of the country and that was going just fine until Customs decided to randomly check one of the shipments. After that, the same problems became a regular occurrence.

SOS labeled himself as a porn company when he demanded this same shit with me. He put himself in the position to be flagged by Customs because of it. He's an impatient and over demanding little prick who thinks he knows it all and as far as I am concerned, he deserves whatever set backs he may get.

Yep.. and people also forget that if you are doing business in the real world its 30 days net on payments when you are shooting for mags or ad agenies and the what not. Shit, its godo if you are getting paid in 60-90 days from most clients. You dont camp out in front of their business waving a sign on how they are fucking you over, you understand that its the cost of doing business and if you are not in a position to float that amount of time on your receivables, you should NOT be doing business with that customer.

I think many here live in a fantasy world and that just because the have a $10,000 budget a year for sites and content that the world revolves around them. Then they use gfy as a tool to strong arm just to get their way when their perfect little plan does not work as perfect as they would have liked. Its bullshit. He is some guy, with about a year in the business trying to bring down a content house that have years of great service all over a few days worth of delays. I respect that SOS is working it and trying to make a place for himself, but he really needs to get a grip. Threads like this are uncalled for from professionals. Only kids that spent their last dime would freak out and bitch over an issue like this. It does suck that his content isnt there yet... sure and he has a right ot be frustrated over the situation, but its clear he is not taking all the possible senerios into account and has little to no business operation experience or this thread would have never happened. Yeah the problem is once they flag you, you're flagged for good. We've even had them go through mainstream packages and hold them for a bit (like from amazon) just because of who they were addressed to.

Shit, its godo if you are getting paid in 60-90 days from most clients. You dont camp out in front of their business waving a sign on how they are fucking you over, you understand that its the cost of doing business and if you are not in a position to float that amount of time on your receivables, you should NOT be doing business with that customer. I think many here live in a fantasy world and that just because the have a $10,000 budget a year for sites and content that the world revolves around them. Then they use gfy as a tool to strong arm just to get their way when their perfect little plan does not work as perfect as they would have liked. Its bullshit. He is some guy, with about a year in the business trying to bring down a content house that have years of great service all over a few days worth of delays. I respect that SOS is working it and trying to make a place for himself, but he really needs to get a grip. Threads like this are uncalled for from professionals. Only kids that spent their last dime would freak out and bitch over an issue like this. It does suck that his content isnt there yet... sure and he has a right ot be frustrated over the situation, but its clear he is not taking all the possible senerios into account and has little to no business operation experience or this thread would have never happened. I bet two years from now, if he is still around, he will look back on his serise of thread like this and and say.... "shit, I was SUCK a NOOB back then" .02 Not trashing sos. So in essence, by arguing with these few children, we are helping his cause. The fucking ingrate should be thanking us for this. If it were not for you and me fucking around in this thread then it would have died around page 1 or 2. So on that note....I'm going out for a few hours.
