wordpress blog question

I have this blog that already has posts, images, links & the sidebar & footer & header template have already been edited to appear the way I want them. etc,

anyway, I ftp a theme I want to use. What I am wondering is, if I select this in the themes option in admin, is all the content, posts, links, etc of the current active blog going to be transfered to the new theme? What about the sidebar template & headr & footer? will this all need to be done all ove again

Existing posts and pages will transfer. Any edits you have made to the theme templates will NOT be lost, but will not be seen, as you are now calling on differenf files. If you want to see the effect, just toggle back and forth between the two themes. Your edits to the first template won't be overwritten, just not applied.
