    Costa Rica webmasters - what to do for New Years in CR?

    costa rica webmasters or anyone else who has ever done new years in Costa Rica , need some info.

    im heading to san jose, costa rica for new years with freinds and just wanted to know where's a good place to do new years night? and what bar, party etc going on?

    any good parties you know of that go on that night that we should be at?

    san jose - el peublo , club vertigo , del rey , other parties going on?
    jaco - beatle bar?
    tamarindo -?
    manuel antonio-?
    any other town we should be in for the 31st that would be a good time?

    been to CR a few times but never for new years so pretty excited!

    any feedback or info would be great!

              I hear downtown San Jose is the place to be, although I think Vertigo will be nuts as well. My buddy's bar in the mountains in Heredia is going to have a wild party also...

                      yeah i was thinking vertigo.great bar!

                      last year i was in that bar when the earthquake hit.so drunk i thinking ' this is a cool dance floor ' cause it was moving so much . then realized after the shock that half the people in the bar had split cause it was an earthquake.crazy.

                      anyone else with places to check out for New Years?

                                      Tamarindo is a low class surfer beach. Just got back from there actually, wouldn't do New Years There.

                                      Jaco is a shit hole populated by tourists too stupid or too poor to go to the nice beaches.

                                      Manuel Antonio is homo sexual paradise. It's a beautiful beach, and they have good parties there, but it won't be a huge New Years party.

                                      Basically, around Christmas, all of Zapote turns in to a huge outdoor party grounds. Stick to the Central Valley for New Years.

                                          Depends what ya are looking for - and that's seems to differ with each person.

                                          While I was here at New Year, we buggered off to the Pacific coast and spent time in a kinda resort complex owned by a friend and ended up with the higher levels of govt downwards and other "notables" I can't remember.

                                          But.. if ya want whoring and all that nice stuff... sounds like Central Valley (San Jose area) is the place!

                                                          The Pacific coast is my favorite by far. Just came back from Ocotal, Tamarindo, Conchal, Flamingo, Punta Leona trip. There's some gorgeous resorts up and down the coasts for sure.
