Yet oddly I get scammed and ripped off by more people in Canada and the US than all of Eastern Europe and Europe combined.

How about just telling the person to not use a relatively simple password.

I've been scammed for playing Poker online when someone hacked my FirePay.com account and withdrew $753.99 from my bank account. It's a very real problem and it can happen to anyone.
