                                      I think it's easier for them to keep the planes warm when taxiing than it is to keep them cool in the middle of the summer when plopped onto the hot Tarmac.

                                                  I've been in a few damn cold planes in the winter. They didn't appear to have much heating system when they're on idle power when I was there. Maybe they were crappy planes, though.
