Watched a special on HBO one time about a stripper. She got fired from one place because she turned 40. She was too old, and had put on some weight. You could tell that 10 or 15 years before, she was HOT.

I heard that sometimes old strippers go on to become fraud control analysts for really big affiliate programs, then they sit around lurking but never posting on GFY while deciding which of you webmasters are and are not going to get your checks.

There are lots and lots of them that do. When I lived in Vegas almost every stripper I knew was dancing her way through college.

I wanted to come back and make note..that some of what you say is so true... but to generalize all like that is silly. I worked the clubs all over the usa from 18-35. In the process, I sold real estate, did some school , became an Aveda skin care specialist..worked in salons, bartended, and became a webmaster...now i am going to school to sell real estate and in three years..become a broker.

I would say a small percentage ends up like the description you posted first.. but not the majority.

There is a time when one has to realize they are too old to be getting naked on a stage in front of guys who will not be sympathetic ...lol.
I had two realizations..when I became old enough to be the young girls mom, and the other was dancing in a non alcohol club and guys that are as old as my son were perving on me.. I just wanted to take their wallet, put them over my knee and spank that ass.

Suppose you live in Ohio and you meet a dancer at a club.

What does that "dancer" really mean when she talks about going to Vegas for a week to make money?

Is the dancing there that much more profitable, or am I right in thinking that she wouldn't be going for the dancing?

Vegas is always sketchy since some do hit the conventions and hook. Hooking is illegal in vegas itself..so it's not as easy as one might think to roll up and start hooking where they please...if she is going outside vegas, she is probably going to hook.

She was implying that she suspects that something more than a dance was probably going on. I sort of took it as a way to guage my reaction to the idea. I don't know anything though.
