normal every morning routine to lift a few weights after praying to the east...accidentally dropped a curling bar on my foot and hurts like holy hell.Now stuc with swollen foot.Any suggestions to reduce the swelling besides the normal ice treatment?

My lawyer would want me to say this first:
I'm no doctor, but if that happened to me I would...
take 800 mg of ibuprofen (advil) every 6 hours ... and ice it for 20 minutes a time, 3 times a day. Make sure to stay well hydrated, as the ibuprofen is hell on your kidneys... so drink a full glass of water (12 - 16 oz) with each dose :-)
But i would really go in to the ER if the swelling isn't down in a day or two ... and if you develop any huge lumps that are excruciating ... yeah ... go in =)
