Do you have any drugs on you?

ChatCash_Rob 12-01-2005 08:06 AM

I'd stick with saying Vacation, christmas shopping and visiting friends, you don't want them to think you're working or on a business trip, they like to see you spending money and will sometimes ask how much money you have on you to check against your length of stay.

seeric 12-01-2005 08:07 AM

when i came back from my trip to cozumel and grand cayman they pulled me aside and were asking me all sorts of prodding questions. i was like WTF is wrong with you guys? you can let them know that they are going to far. ask them why they are stereotyoing you. i did. i accused them of profiling me because i had a goatee and was singing in the waiting line :1orglaugh

turn the conversation on them. instead of being defensive, be offensive. they got me out of their hair as soon as possible. those checkpoints are there to screen people, not interrogate guilty citizens. those guys do the same thing all year long every day of their lives. they hate that duty.

when i go through customs i always make it a point to never act like i want to pass their test. 99% of the people go up to them expecting a quiz that they want to pass just like in high school. if you want to get through their shit asap, just act like they are an inconvenience to you and like you could give a lesser shit what they ask and they won't even give a shit about you. if you show any fear or concern about what they are asking they will dig and dig and try to find shit to fuck with you.

just my opinion. works for me.

I was going to say change that fucked up long name of yours ...but then i remembered that on the way back from LA i was talking to a guy while waiting for extra screening ..(I get flagged every time ... not sure why) and he said he gets flagged every time also and he travels a lot ...so e asked his attorney and they called the airline ... they told him that his name was so common that the system automatically stops him ... his name was John Smith ... now that sucks .....lol

Help me. Ask me questions they might ask n shit.

It was hell coming back to the US for me.

They didn't care about the bong I brought in from Amsterdam.

They were more concerned with why my boots had no scuff marks on them.

Every item was taken out of my luggage.

haha, travelling INTO another country I might agree.

Coming HOME from another I have to disagree.

Last flight home from Florida, my ears popped really bad and I couldn't hear a goddamn thing the Canadian Customs agent said to me. I could see his lips move, and I just said, "I'm sorry man, but I can't hear a word you're saying." He asked me a couple trivial questions and let me go.

The first time in a LONG time they didn't scour my bags for show goodies.

Shit I'd never do it like that. Some of them are just looking for a reason to keep you out.

I used to get stopped EVERY damn time going into the U.S. but one day I laughed and just asked them if I'd been red-flagged for something, because they haul my ass into the little room every single trip.

They told me it was just a random check, and I haven't been stopped since.

Raven 12-01-2005 09:14 AM

I am a middle aged woman, traveling all over the United States and Europe. I get searched five times out of six. It sucks.

It's phrased as "business" or "personal".

I told Customs I was in Europe for personal reasons....when they opened my bags, all of my business cards fell out.

Even still, they were more concerned with why my bra still had the tags on it.

Juicy. Just make sure the prescriptions are in bottles clearly marked....I made the mistake of putting OTC medicines (ibuprofen and aspirin) into one bottle. They freaked out worse than they did with the bra that still had tags on it.
