    ANYwebcams Australian WebMasters Dinner - NEW VENUE

    Our group for the Brisbane Webmaster dinner on Sunday night has become too large for ChaChaChar so we have a new plan...

    Dinner is now at WATT Modern Dining @ 7.30pm
    Located on the Riverside of the Brisbane Powerhouse
    119 Lamington St New Farm

    We have a reservation for 20 people under the name Randall

    A bunch of us are going to be meeting in the City at
    Jade Buddah from 5.30pm for a pre-dinner drink, come along!!!
    Shop 14, 1 Eagle Street,
    Eagle Street Pier,
    Brisbane Queensland, 4002

    Both of these venues are next to CityCat (the water taxi service) stops so the plan was to meet at Jade Buddah at 5.30 then all of us jump on the Cat about 7.15 to be at WATT by 7.30... a little boat trip is always good. After dinner drinks are still on and I will let you know of any arrangments I make.

          Sorry to add my 2cents cause its negative, but maybe it might help your meal choice.

          I had dinner at WATT a few weekends back in a big group (30pax)....... crap. You shoulda stayed at char char, but at this time of year big bookings are hard pressed newhere. I had the Duck, it was average, probley best choice. Majority of people had the fish, bleh it was dry and horrible, the veal was meh. There was a veggie pasta of some description, only one person had it and it was apparently alright.

          Because of our group size we had to have a menu that was missing some of the main meals, if you have a choice of their other mains like the beef, maybe its worth a shot.

          Oh service for a group our size was horrible, maybe it was just bad staff assigned to our area but they were slow and hopeless, we had two people from our group doing most of the drink pouring etc.

          Hope you have a better time then we did :/

              Different times, different places.

              I was in a birthday group of 20, about 4 weeks ago, and the place did not have a spare seat.

              I had fish, which was sublime, and my date had the duck, which was equally sensational.

              Not one person complained, in fact the direct opposite.

              Maybe you should tip more ?

                          I'm glad you had a enojyable experience there, it is quite highly recommended as a nice casual spot for a eat, location is perfect there on the river. They must have been having a bad night when we were there.

                          As for tipping, don't think so. Maybe they should have tipped us for putting up with their performance
