haha look at all the crappy excuses for not going to a show. Fact is if you CAN afford it and WANT to attend, you will.

I however can't justify spending $20k for a 3 day show half way around the world, where 50% of the new people I meet will be surfers and the other half CES attendies. Of course there's lots of time to network in the 5 hour long cab lines at each hotel.

If the show was 3 days earlier or 3 days later, that 20k drops to 10k.
That said, if I were living in northern America... there is absolutely no excuse not to be at a big event if you're serious about business.

Very very true. There is no reason to have it at the same time, unless they can't get the space.

CES is one of the biggest shows of the year, just after New Years and prices up by 300%. When will this industry come together and challenge some of these show people?
