Problem there is no regular housing. I saw an interview with a family that was shipped to NYC. Now FEMA is cutting them off and telling them to get housing in NYC. Fucking brilliant. A studio apt in NYC goes for around $1500 - 2000.

Where are they gonna find housing in New Orleans you idiot. In case you haven't kept up with current events they are bulldozing neighborhoods.

Bomber Bloodies U.S. Toy Giveaway
At Least 31 Iraqis Killed; 22 Die in Other Violence

By Ellen Knickmeyer
Washington Post Foreign Service
Friday, November 25, 2005; Page A01

BAGHDAD, Nov. 24 -- A suicide attacker steered a car packed with explosives toward U.S. soldiers giving away toys to children outside a hospital in central Iraq on Thursday, killing at least 31 people. Almost all of the victims were women and children, police said.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...112400293.html

Iraqi security officials said they believed that Iraqi police or U.S. forces were the target of Thursday's bombing outside the general hospital in Mahmudiyah.
Burt what the fuck do they know compared to you, strapped in your wheelchair in your lousy trailer, drunk as a skunk with your brother... :321GFY

None the less...they will be housed somewhere and FEMA (FEMA had ordered tens of thousands of trailers but I do not know what the status is on delivery of same)...or the local welfare services will continue to pay. They will not be put out on the streets just out of the hotels. Many...and maybe most...have said they do not want to go back to NO.

Hmm..."believed". FYI...I do not use a wheelchair...do not live in a trailer...and I very seldom get drunk...and my brother even less so. Feel free to :321GFY foreign trash.

From someone who was displaced by 9-11 with my wife and child, FEMA doesn't give a flying fuck if you have a place to go or not.

They don't give a shit about the people, they just want to clear up the paperwork.

You really don't have a grasp on reality, do you?

In answer to the question...yes...I do.

Oh shit, they blew themselves up .... can't get that .... So it's false ....

Amazing how onn the other hand no proof is needed to invade a country ...

What motivates such an idiotic policy? The U.S. gets credit for giving out toys, and if insurgents attack U.S. soldiers they get blame for killing kids. It's win-win! Except that children get killed.
My brother said the military was using the kids as human shields.

Now go do a " lewinsky" to your president ...

Now THAT is the smartest thing I've heard in a while! I absolutely agree with you on this Tony.

Baah! Typical King thread! :1orglaugh

As though it matter a toss what Bush says. What Bush says and what Bush does are two totally different things. He loves talking the talk and sometimes does that coherently.

*Any* elected leader of the western world has more cred and background qualification than the Texas moron allegedly elected to lead the "most powerful country" - sheesh, that's a sad thought. :(

That "idiot" and "moron" will continue to screw the US till the end of his term and get that nation into deeper shit (like it ain't already?) than it has ever been - another sad thought :(

Totally agree Tony! :thumbsup

Ya can't "win" against people who have spent centuries defending themselves and use whatever strategies to achieve their ends. It was only recently they pushed back Russian forces inflicting serious casualties - then move to the hills and get ready for the next assault.

You ever see footage a few years back of em fighting in Afghanistan? Hell.. no way can "conventional armies" stand a chance. They have no hesitation flying low in copters at night talking bullet rounds from the ground - they just don't give a shit. Some know they are going to die in a skirmish, but accept that's what they have to do.

Most likely, it's these same people we now brand "terrorists". What are they? Sheep farmers. Some of their "projects" (between taking bullet rounds) include building school desks for their local schools and trying to educate their families. They are no different to anyone else in other countries.

With the exception of a minority of those who can be described as "extreme", they just want left alone and have peace to live their lives the way they want without external interference. They have their own culture going back 1000's of years and ain't interested in some tinpot ideas others may want to thrust on em.

It may not be the "modern" thing to do, but in several ways, ya gotta respect your "enemy" and not assume an arrogance with ideas they are inferior.

Who knows in Iraq, but suspect the current occupation will end up the same as all the others and the "invaders" will depart once more, leaving them to clean up the mess - once more.

what does that have to do with anything? If u really love to know it, yes i have a degree for an information technology education, u can compare to US university.
And by the way, the education level in the US is overall lower and easier to do then around here; i got this from peeps who first went to college here and later in the US.
Happy?
For your other points, see everyone elses posts for the details, or just line up all the facts and use common sense instead of trying to obsesively defend your government, its sick. Are you on their payroll or something?

I know that...and I am not 100% certain what type of discharge he recieved...but it is my understanding that he recieved an under honorable conditions rather than an Honorable Discharge.

What it has "to do with anything"...is...you were calling an Ivy leaqer with an MBA...illiterate. BTW...I will continue to defend my government against lies and misinformation...the truth will suffice...thank you very much.
