You are probably right. The main issue is the melanoma and where else it may have moved to.

Evil Chris 11-30-2005 11:36 AM

best wishes baddog

I know in that adolescent, sophomoric mind of your, you think you are funny, but you aren't. What is funny is that you keep digging this hole deeper and deeper that will insure your injury should you come back to the States.

Jimmy The Juggernaut 11-30-2005 11:45 AM

why post this stuff on gfy?

who really cares about your mom...

i bet 1000's of other webmasters parents here have had some sorta of major surgery, even bigger than a eye removal...but yet they didnt feel the urge to post about it...

in the big scale of things, who really cares?

to expose the fact that you only make this thread to gain appraisal to make up for your own self pity and sorrow that you have within yourself. a self ego boosting thread.

no one here knows your mother but you.

you dont even know her well enough to know her exact age but you want us all to care for her?

this is a webmaster board filled with people who look at assholes all day but for some reason you want them all to feel sorrow for you and pray to Jesus that your mom will be ok.

whatever floats your boat. boost that ego to the moon for all I care.

Abyss_Vee 11-30-2005 12:00 PM

i wish her the best and quick recovery

Thanks you guys, and yeah, great strength comes from hiding behind the security of a desktop or laptop monitor.

Looking forward to seeing you two in a couple weeks.

I Hope your mother is on a speedy road to recovery Baddog, and I hope this is the end of the nightmare that melanoma can cause for her even though losing an eye must be very traumatic to go through. Please take care of yourself as well - it's never too late to start preventive medicine so take good care of you and your family. Best wishes,

Yeah, that is the weird part. I have it on my arms and back because when I was a kid the sun was a good thing.

Sunblock was a tree.

BTW, I have not forgotten about the trade, just so much going on and on that I haven't had a chance.

Will try to get it done today.

Sorry to hear she had to have the procedure, but I'm glad she's alright. All the best to her...

Why do you think she should stay in the hospital longer?

I just figured it would be a pretty stressful operation, and they normally do it under general anaesthetic - which usually requires an observation period..
But, from what I've read on www.losteye.com, I can see why people would be more comfortable with the outpatient surgery....
It just sounds scarier than the procedure (medically) actually is..

I'm glad everything went well!

Goodluck to your mom baddog..I will pray for her speed recovery

CherryLipsRosa 12-01-2005 03:21 PM

Best wishes sweetie!

Those that would joke about this show a total lack of class.

A sad day for sure. Bad enough to loose the eye, but cancer too. The good news is that you have been able to have her around well into her 70s. Hope you can enjoy her company for many more years.

When you visit do the best ya can. If you can make her laugh some how, that would be great. Maybe today isn't the day for that? Sometimes we need to cry. Wishing ya the best either way.
