I Hope your mother is on a speedy road to recovery Baddog, and I hope this is the end of the nightmare that melanoma can cause for her even though losing an eye must be very traumatic to go through. Please take care of yourself as well - it's never too late to start preventive medicine so take good care of you and your family. Best wishes,

Yeah, that is the weird part. I have it on my arms and back because when I was a kid the sun was a good thing.

Sunblock was a tree.

BTW, I have not forgotten about the trade, just so much going on and on that I haven't had a chance.

Will try to get it done today.

Wow.. I couldn't imagine having such a thing done to me. I hope your mom has a fast recovery and that no complications arise. Take care of her and be the best son you can be. :)

Sorry to hear she had to have the procedure, but I'm glad she's alright. All the best to her...

Why do you think she should stay in the hospital longer?

I just figured it would be a pretty stressful operation, and they normally do it under general anaesthetic - which usually requires an observation period..
But, from what I've read on www.losteye.com, I can see why people would be more comfortable with the outpatient surgery....
It just sounds scarier than the procedure (medically) actually is..

I'm glad everything went well!

Those that would joke about this show a total lack of class.

A sad day for sure. Bad enough to loose the eye, but cancer too. The good news is that you have been able to have her around well into her 70s. Hope you can enjoy her company for many more years.

When you visit do the best ya can. If you can make her laugh some how, that would be great. Maybe today isn't the day for that? Sometimes we need to cry. Wishing ya the best either way.

I pray for the sfaety of her surgery and a speedy recovery.
