Mister Mistofolees is a repeated sex offender.
SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60. Let me repeat... A 120 x 60 button and no more that 3 lines of DEFAULT SIZE AND COLOR text.

alright alright...i'm a tough guy like all the rest of you

...but I have seen rent live 4 times dating back to 11 years ago. I saw the movie....there are some awkward scenes, and it looks like it from the early 90's (but on purpose) .....

But overall...it draws out the same emotion as the live performance. Trust me, i'd LOVE to give this 2 thumbs up....I give it 1.75 thumbs up though

I'd really like to see what someone thinks who had never seen rent before....

Part of me thinks that I went in there wanting it to be good so much that I would have liked it as long as I could make out the songs

The other part of me felt like I knew what was going to happen next and so fresh blood might like hearing all this stuff for the first time.

My GF wasn't new blood...but she had only seen it once a while ago and she REALLY liked it...but then again, she's a woman

But lets not kid ourselves...this is a ROCK MUSICAL.......it was made to be one...not a movie....However, having rent in the "to go" size is pretty damn cool

Saw the movie....enjoyed it. 6.5/10. Its getting shit reviews though.

Plan on seeing the live show this upcoming Sunday on Broadway.

Lets face it...if "Rent" was to come out in 2005....it wouldn't even make Broadway. The subject matter is now more socially accepted than it was then. In the early 90's HIV/AIDS, Homosexuals and Tranny's were a big and controversial subject. Which helped the play out alot.

Still a nice feel good movie/play though. I cried like a bitch twice.

This is true...this is a dated subject now. I mean, if you pay close attention to the jokes....the fact that someone became a lesbian and left mark was just hilarious at one time.

                  Now its just cliche

But I really feel that the emotional "hook" is still there which is why I think this movie was impossible to be less than a 8/10...which is what I would give it. The musical was an 11/10 , even today in my book
