The ion is not heavy at all. go to videos.google.com and search "ion" you will see how fast and tiny they are.

I have this tippmann with the flat line barrel (lets you shoot farther).

Shoot farther is one thing but the biggest let down is you think the velocity is the same.

You can shoot 30 feet farther then most people because the flat line barrel has a back spin. The biggest issue is that when that paintball hits me It won't do anything It won't break. or it will bounce. Most feilds let you do 260-280 By the time it get to the person it's doing 70fps which is shit.

Then I wouldn't recommend a Tippmann. We use them as rental at the field and they are like tanks. Awsome rental guns, they never break. But if you are going to play more once a week or more, you want something less bulky.

Women make great front players, another reason to get a non-bulky gun.

If you are serious and want to play more than once a week, I'd drop some more money on the gun. If you can, take up KMR Stitch on his offer.

I have always preferred Airgun Designs myself. Mostly because they don't always follow the latest hype, they make solid guns with solid testing instead. I haven't tried their RT, but I've done some tourneys with their E-Mag and it's a lovely piece.

I just saw this:

RT ULE Custom: $355
http://store.airgun.com/index.cfm?ac...&categoryID=79

Almost too good to be true. Not sure if I missed something hmmmm.

Also the offer on the Nerve is awesome, i'll keep it in mind. As i just checked it out and $700 is a GREAT offer.

A buddy has that ION and loves it. Says it's like an extention of his arm. Very light, very acurate and veery fast.

Everyone said it would suck but the Spyder Flash rocked my world. Accurate, light, easy to clean, and never a problem.
