    windows media 7,8,9 quality difference

    is there an acutal visible quality difference between wm 7,8,9 video files?

      Definitely. 9 is so much better than both starting at 300kbs it's sickening.

              i notice many people still use wmv8 for videos because many surfers still can't play wmv9 because they haven't upgraded their media player

                  On tours I do WMV8 for that reason. In the members areas I offer 4 versions....
                  WMV9 800k
                  WMV8 350k
                  MPEG1 800k
                  Video Ipod format.

                      That makes sense. Might I suggest taking the Ipod video out of your members section and make it a separate site that is a unchecked crosssell and/or members area upgrade for $19.95.

                      People that are looking for Ipod add ons (content and hardware stuff) have been proven to pay a premium for the most basic shit over and over. Don't give it away for free yet. 6 month from now when it's a saturated standard maybe, but not now.
