i want users to do a review of some local events and attractions on my site, how can i push them to write and keep writing reviews??!

$$$, tickets to local events, free drinks, anything like that will probably work.

Give them something free in exchange for the review.

Thanks, those are some great ideas. i had another one and not sure about it... do you think Seniority give more incentive to post more (kinda like gfy.. lol)?

Where the more post/review you give the more elite someone is?

Would it be too much to ask if i force them to make one review in order for them to gain access to thousands of reviews?

You wanna make a sense of "community" out of it. People will write about anything as long as they are under the impression that others are taking into account what they say.

We started off paying people for College Downtime, and now we've got to the point where people compete against others to see who's review gets published on the site. We still give away a lot of free stuff though; ipods, gift cards, etc for stuff like that though.
