One of the best hip hop albums of time imo. :P

I assume by this post you've downloaded the album and listened to it on fast forward before you pronounced yourself? Look we're all aware that rap was better back then, im one of the biggest wu tang/shaolin island fan there is out there. look how they suck nowadays though. aint no bringing back the dead. there is not much good rap coming out, if any. we all know that. what are we to do? stop listening to music? no. instead we stopped taking it so seriously. BTW lil wayne is one of the few OK rappers out there, you might just want to give him a shot. pz

Good to see there are still people that understand real hip hop.

Lil Wayne, that guy who calls himself a rapper, brabbles in Destiny's Child's song. WTF is that? What a gangster :Oh crap

Btw, every time I see his face I feel like hitting it with a baseball bat. :thumbsup

That is like the most bad decision you can make. Instead of just searching a bit harder for the good shit (that's still coming out, btw), you just watch the Rap/Pop mix on TV?

:2 cents:

He is indeed laughable as a gangster, but his flow is tight.

Are you kidding these guys are all still making good music. Well Old Dirty is dead so he won't be but he was still making off the wall tracks right up untill he died. Pop Shit is a sick track. GF, Gza, and Ray got a few hype tunes out. AZ dropped a sick track that gets no air play. Rza has produced some dirty tunes.

Man I wish the Gravediggaz would do something again.

Dont get me wrond some of the more main stream stuff is alright. I thought that Mike Jones album was alright.. Aleast he's funny. I don't know though man I just can't take most of it anymore.. Just sounds shit to me....

look man its been like that since the eve of existence. our parents think our music is BS, our parents' parents too...music evolves and changes, most likely you will never enjoy music as much as when your a teen - what you liked back then help define what you look for in music today. aint no turning back time. try a little harder to like them new artists coming out - they aint as good, but they aint all THAT bad either. you guys are close-minded because you got sick of the trend - I did too, didn't listen to rap for a while... as far as the tv comment, TV may affect the knowledge I have of a given artist, but cannot make me like his music

Martin 11-21-2005 02:11 PM

I highly recommend that if you haven't heard all of the House Of Pain Fine Malt Lyrics Album do it.. It's still a crazy album today... Just hit skip when you hit Jump Around LOL. Not the Pete Rock Remix though ;)

well you seem like you now your shit. pop shit was indeed a dope track, which was off a neptunes album - trials & tribs of russel jones wasn't all that bad considering most of them were recycled pre-released verses. as for the rest of the Wu, I have to disagree; GF turned into a blatant homosexual, what is you gonna tell me Push Push Cush Cush or whatefuckinver single with missy was gangster? RZA's production has changed and sucked ever since wu tang forever, sorry. I know he is involved in mainstream projects such as the Kill Bill soundtrack, but I dont think Quentin Tarantino qualifies as a hip-hop critic. Method put out 2 classics but messed up the prequel - though he is still a dope mc. Killa beez - the sting or whatever side projects they worked on failed miserably. Sure there were a few OK/good songs here and there, but then again I can say that from Lil Wayne Let's not talk about U-godzilla or wtfffffff, inspectah deck or cappadonna... Gravediggaz Killarmy Shyheim and friends seem to have faded with the end of the Wu's reign. at least we never got to see them sell out.
on another note, you would just love to see the wu-wear leather coat I've got! I dont wear it anymore, it's on my wall - its good memories, I stole it from someone who owed me money back then!

Yeah Wu fell off big time.. Oh well they gave us a few years.. They still drop a good track from time to time. I guess the only cat that is still standing from the era is Nas. Anybody else?
