The time it took you to write that long post you could've sold more porn and had enough to buy both consoles and judge for yourself.

seriously though:

SELL MORE PORN = BUY BOTH CONSOLES

You say you're a true "gamer", yet your post seems more like all the fanboy flamewars on 1up & IGN, etc... most true "gamers" that are members of my mainstream sites buy all consoles and portables. It's ALL about the gameplay... PERIOD. Doesn't matter if your passion is Tetris, EQ, Halo, Final Fantasy or Steel Battalion... it boils down to whatever games help you escape reality & enjoy what little free time you have. Just play.

The only thing I hate about the 360 is that my techie's expecting ME to drop $1000 next week for his 360bundle as an early xmas gift. I want to, but I know it'll mean that he won't get any work done.

The only thing you said that has any truth at all is the $300 version is a bad deal. You save $70 (you have to spend $30 on a memory card that day) but you will buy 2 or 3 memory cards, you dont have backwards compatibility, and more...

Buy both cheap fuck.

hmmmm, I see your point, but it's the time of year that will get people! yeah sure it will go down in price fast, but when it's released RIGHT near Christmas it's gonna be difficult for people to wait!!

6 months to a year to save $100 isn't fast, I spend $100 trying to win tickets at the arcade. This guy has probably been saving all year for one system and needs a little time so he tells himself Playstation is better anyhow.

I was thinking the same thing. An amazing game on the 360 with graphics to die for. I went off squad based shooters after the first ghost recon (loved it but have hated everything else sice) but that game has turned me on to them again.

It's also interesting how many gaming companies FAR prefer the xbox 360. It's apparently very easy to write for whereas the new PS is getting like PC's ie too dependant on backwards compatibility making for confusing architecture that can be difficult to write for if you want the best performance.
