    Webmaster Internet Radio Shows

Webmaster radio shows have been around for a couple of years now. Where were we then and where are we now? Do you think they remain a valuable tool or has the support for them cooled off as some webmasters exit this business.

What shows work and which ones do not?

You think FM radio is boring? Let me give you a hint, this man is live on the air and ready for tough questions, you should stir the pot up, and harvest some golden info even if heated....unless FM is probed, he talks about what ever is being talked about, but to debate FM makes for some yummy gumbo! Stir the pot.

I really like Evan radio , some things are annoying but thats Evan [lol]...he does raw radio, he is not political and he crosses the line and probes and fears nothing, man after my own heart....shit gets out of hand on his show sometimes, and he is a real good articulate host that drills down. Evan has a style duplicated by none.

As for the other shows, I don't listen anymore so I have no idea how they are going these days...

You would think a radio program featuring a conversation with the biggest porn king (Larry Flynt) and biggest asshole (Serge) in the industry, would have their shit together "before" they go on the air. That was one of the most amateurish run pieces of shit I've ever heard on internet radio. If you wanna check out a first rate program - check out MaxCashLive

With all of the noise and confusion I was hearing....I did manage to hear Serge ask Larry...... " Larry, what makes you tick?" What kind of fucking question is this? It's the same thing that makes Serge tick, greed and money...of cousre!

              LOL R3K

We need to have a big debate radio show one time with all the big players in the industry. That would be interesting to listen to.

Arguing whether the Democratic or Republican party is better is like debating which steaming pile of shit is slightly less stinky.

no way, my show was the best
I played music people really wanted to hear and I was the first to put Luke Ford On the air...I offered him a completely uncensored platform to broadcast whatever he wanted...

I remember Headless bringing the rukas too...

I also remember almost losing my job for putting office staff on the air but I can't help it, I got flashed by the receptionisty who was hot as hell...oh my goodness....Anthony? is she avilable for hire if we open a Vancouver office? ;))))

hmmm, maybe I should dust off the microphone and start doing some old fashioned no kissing ass radio

I remember the flinching in the office when I would say stuff like "fuck sharky" and "dokk's a pussy" (all in good natured jest of course)...ahhh memories...someday maybe I'll write a book about the behind the scenes dramas and shenanigans on NetPond Radio.....nah, you'd all be bored.......

No shit!!! It could be more like the size of a novel! How many shows did I do? What was it.... 5 days a week for like what almost a year?

I almost miss spewing my brain all the time...

yeah, only five for like 2 hours a day, while I did 7 days a week (10 hours or more on sponsored nights) while in Vancouver ;)))))

                                we had quite the team:
you , jaYMan, Wenchy, myself, hell even Anthony and Prophet8. who kicked off the launch of NetPond Radio. had some success...

I think webmaster radio shows are still a valuable tool, but doesn't it depend on what you are going for to determine your value? YNOTBob and I do the YNOTBob Humpday Lunch radio show every Wednesday at noon (PST) and we want to provide webmasters with an entertaining 90 min. break in their work week. We are never short on sponsors, our chat room is always full, we have plenty of loyal listeners, and people walk away happy and entertained every show.

Judge for yourself though next Wednesday at http://www.albumside.com

the radio shows are boring (thru no one's fault) for the same reason the entire business has become boring.
There is nothing *NEW* going on. No new ideas, so what is there to talk about? blah, blah, blah gets boring after a while.
I'm not a dinosaur, I'm a crocodile. I've seen dinosaurs come and go and I'm left unimpressed.

i've never found it interesting, always is boring and the quality is nowhere near as good as getting fm radio in my car.

R2D2, scroll up - my initiating this topic was no spam babee :-)

You think I listen to webmaster radio shows....nope I really do not anymore, I tune into Evan radio on occasion and sometimes catch FM radio. I find myself sitting on my hands so I don't dial in and take the challenge with an on air guest.

So clearly my reasons for listening are for entertainment, other than that, what does it offer me, unless something of controversy eeeks out, welp....nothing.

FM's show is freestyle and so is Evan radio....either show can light up in a moment and that chance of combustion is the justification for tuning in for me :-))

Some shows have the same guests all the time, over exposed and thats boring to me. Really what is there to learn, so it makes sense to teach newbies...

What about the old timers? What do we want? What do you call shock radio?

I remember Dokk scheduled some guests who had been on Oprah or something like that, very cool guests and ppl complained...and he stopped....so if we had a chance to bring in fresh radio what would that be for those wanting entertainment?

                                                          is that an offer sykkboy?
the sex or the book? LOL ;))))

actually, I agree with 12clicks, it has gotten stale, even towards the end of NetPond Radio, I just got burned out and it was stale doing the same schtick day in and day out...

If I ever dusted off the mic and got back on the air, I'd probably go back to playing headbanger music and be bored again within a month....

but the CARP stuff actually frightens me a bit.....maybe one of the radio shows can get someone from CARP to come on and state their case? Sharky? FM? It would be something different and something that can have an impact on webmaster radio (and net radio in general)
