Bill C-74 - How did you miss this one directfiesta?

Must be an oversight that this hasn't been reported by any Canadians here. Perhaps they're all too worried about Texas?

Based on the PSEPC information, there are two key elements to this bill. First, telephone and Internet service providers will be required to include an interception capability as they introduce new technologies.

Second, law enforcement will be able to compel ISPs to disclose subscriber information, including name, address, IP address, telephone number, and cellphone number. It would appear that such information can be compelled without judicial oversight.

A Bill to quiet down our south anglo-saxons neighboors ...

translation: a bill to shut them up ....

BTW, this type of surveillanbce is already existing for decennies on the phone system ( wire tap ) ... The difference is they would need, if approved, a judge to authorize it.
I know that Asspimple is stoopid ... As he says, it is a FACT !

But I can't figure out how he can breathe or type , at the same time ....

right now as it is a judge needs to give permission.

the bill they are trying to pass is requesting to be able to do all those things without a warrant

not only is this bill bullshit, but they are also wanting the service providers to foot the bill for all this shit...

          - To record, listen. etc .. on the subscriber:

Access to this information will be subject to court oversight.

          - To obtain subscriber information, including name, address, IP address, telephone number, and cellphone number.

          without judicial oversight

That same information I can obtain without much effort . I am not for it, but in no way we canb imply that these measures, if voted , would be near the PATRIOT ACT one's....
