We use Eudora alot. Its decent and handles alot. Has decent perks and usually is receptive to the virus probs. Netscape is the standby email. You can make different nicks on netscape and set each to different Pops. Eudora will accept more than one pop but we have never taken the time to figure out alot of its pluses yet.

pegasus and eudora are not for power users

I never used the Bat but the people who have tell me it's better than anything else. "Once you go Bat, you never go back."

I've used Eudora Pro for the past 5 years... before that Eudora Lite and Microsoft Mail (pre-outlook express days)...

Before that I used envelopes & stamps. Remember them?

I switched to pocomail from Calypso. Pocomail has a really good scripting language that let's you do pretty much anything - stuff that Calypso never could (and Calypso was really good). Pocomail is also the application with the "most-interested-developer-for-an-email-client" I have ever seen. A really good support system

You can try it out for free too. And it's skinnable as well. And not subject to the Outlook hassles.

It's also faster than a lot of other clients I have tried (including the bat) - I have about 20K emails in my database in pocomail.

Other than that, I also recommend mailbag assistant for finding elusive emails.

then get Pmmail
I just looked at PMMail. I noticed that they now (as of 2002) have:

- the ability to add more than one file attachment at a time.

- No more POP3 send error

- No HTML support

They also have filtering: "Received email can be assigned their own sub-folders and can be routed directly there". That'd have to be the most basic functionality you'd ever see!

What is this? What does this client have that makes it good ?

What makes regular outlook better then outlook express?

If you don't use the task manager or any of that other crap, why is it better?
