My card reader won't read my CF card ...HELP

Has it read it before? It might not recognize the larger 1 gig cards.

Nope never read a 1.0 GB before .. is there a driver maybe? ..I Can't seem to find one

If that doesn't work, you might have to get a reader that supports larger cards.

thanks Stallion I'm checking that out now .. there doesn't seem to be any info on 1 gb cards not working with the Scandisk dual SDDR -75 .... it says no drivers needed for win XP .. but never the les they still offer one

If all else fails, does your camera have a dual storage drive? With my e10 I can transfer images from CF to SM in the camera.

Is the card itself corrupt?

You may want to try Photo Rescue.

Often cards are corrupted by pulling them from the camera before they are done writing. I've used photo rescue -- once on a card a local data recovery place wanted $300 to fix.

Its works good.

Cards are treated like drives in Windows, so 1GB should matter. I often take an old Windows 98se / 266ghz laptop out for beach work and it reads 1GB cards all afternoon.

Thanks guys ... After stallion's post, I went to my studio and picked up one of my other readers that has been used in the past for 1 GB cards .. Works well now . seems like the SDDR-75 just can't handle 1 gb ...
