My friend was just prescribed meridia to lose weight (she's a bit over weight and her doctor is concerned) I'm concerned about what meridia will do to her

Anyone here ever take it? I'm afraid it's like the big phen phen fad who killed a bunch of women!

A friend of mine used that before and I think it worked well for her. The only side effect she noticed then was a mild insomia which is not yet concretely proven if it's really caused by the drug.

I worked for a pharmaceutical distribution center, and I would say that Meridia is better than Xenical.. maybe not for results, but in general.

I say that because Xenical stops your body from digesting / absorbing fats. This fat stays in liquid form, and can actually seep out of your... ass.

Here's how they describe it;

· oily spotting;
· oily or fatty stools;
· orange or brown colored oil in your stool;
· gas with discharge, an oily discharge;
· an urgent need to go to the bathroom;
· an inability to control bowel movements, or;
· an increased number of bowel movements.

Yummy.

This doesn't happen with Meridia, since Meridia simply works by making you feel full longer, and faster.

I know which one I'd pick!
