It has been said that retractions are never read. This is a retraction and a apology, I ask that you read it in its entirety.
Once in a while we all do something that, after a few minutes to calm down and think rationally, we wish we could undo and move on with life. Last Friday I did just that. While I cant undo what I posted, I can try to do right by AWEmpire and Mickey.
I have no valid excuse for what I did last Friday. The post I made was made in anger, showing a lack of forethought and maturity on my part. After making the post and leaving work a long drive home provided me with the time to think clearly and calm down. I realized that I fucked up big time. Turning the board on and seeing the response of other posters drove this point home deeper. This was a matter that should and could have been handled privately between Mickey and myself, but instead without thinking I ran to the board and posted my frustrations with a reckless disregard for the consequences to both sides and for that I was completely in the wrong.
I humbly offer my sincerest apologies to AWEmpire and to Mickey. I place myself before you asking for mercy that I don't deserve and offer to do whatever I can to make this right by you and your company.
As a small token, to help make up for damage to AWEmpires reputation, I offer my sig space (ref code free) for a unspecified amount of time to run any banner they want me to run. I know this is a small gesture, but its a start.
I spoke with Mickey this morning via ICQ. The understanding and compassion he showed me regarding this situation demonstrated to me the type of professional ethics that he works and lives by. Mickey holds no malice, anger or ill will towards me, as would have been his right to, but instead offered me advice, advice that I will follow not only on the board but in all aspects of life.
I again offer my apologies to Mickey and AWEmpire.
