New text TGP, comments, suggestions, let's hear it

I made a first post a few days back asking for some input and advice.
Many got upset but I still received some mails from folks willing to give me advice.

Anyway I deceided to post the url to my new tgp - mgp and looking forward to hear what you think of it, good, bad, to long, to short, not loading fast, to many ads, bad galleries, to much the same, important niches missing, bad sponsors, showing bad in certain screen resolution or whatever just let me know.

I'm not asking for a manual, just what you think of the site, if you are willing to comment great, if not also fine.

the logo: I invented that figure together with the domain name and sketched it but an artist made what you see on the site

clean look: that was what I had in mind + it saves bandwidth (should become handy in the future). I noticed you review sites, feel free to do so if you like.

Put the cartoon character and name next to each other to save space, I'm on 1280x960 and I can't see any links without scrolling down. I'd probably reduce the size of the character a bit as well. You might want to go easy on the banners at the top until you get some more traffic.

I agree, I would also put the links to the galleries higher on your page.... improves the prod on your site

Thanks for the advice, gonne dump the sextracker button to the bottom of the page again and get rid of a banner at the top.

I put the sextracker button at the top (sextracker recommends this for more accurate count) but it doesn't seem to make any difference.

I will ad more artwork in the future but I want to pay for that artwork with the income from the site

You would have to agree people don't visit a tgp for the nifty designs or the flash animations, getting a template like the ones you offer would double the size = double the bandwidth but would not bring in extra visitors.

The site is a concept, a direction wich I want to follow for the time being, it might change in the future but for now as a new tgp this is the way I want to profile the site towards surfers.

The site looks good though, very clean, a nice start. I definitely agree with making the Happy Stiff cartoon smaller and moving everything up a bit. Also, you paid for such a nice cartoon, seems like your logo could be better to match it.

For a text TGP the position of sextracker probably doesn't matter that much, it will render (and load external javascript) a lot faster than a thumb TGP.

Yes, I noticed that today, I'm using 3 different trackers at this point, the sextracker is now at the bottom of the page again.

The cartoon was made, the logo is my own photoshop work (wanted to keep it clean and simple) As for branding it's all about the cartoon, the logo might change.
I might shrink the cartoon figure but I'm keeping it large so surfers just need to pay attention to him, they need to know him as the happystiff if they do they won't forget the domain name.

As for sponsors, I'm trying out different ones, adultfriendfinder is doing good so far but I'm still searching. For now most of them are just to bring some color to the site.

For the rest, I'm taking the difficult way, it's a lot of work but I expect it will be worth the efforts, if not I tried

I launched this thread to get some reviews, don't see anything wrong about that.

About the giving up part, that is very easy and will always remain very easy, no pressure there. If I am not in the position to give up this would only mean that the benefits of keeping it running are higher than the disadvantages.

Like I wrote before if it fails I know I did try, no regrets

Concept or not, your layout is defying A LOT of common sense and usability guidelines. Can it grow? Sure. Would it grow faster if done right? You bet your ass.

Now you are saying A but not B, what are you referring to? If you don't want to post it in here just mail me (the adress is in the above post).
Perhaps the page isn't very SE friendly, lacks SEO and yes I don't trade links, sort of dilemma right now. But as long you don't say B I'm guessing what you are referring to.
