FUCK Fox- Arrested Devellopment cancelled

'Arrested Development' gets the ax

LOS ANGELES, California (Hollywood Reporter) -- Two TV families appear to be getting the boot.

The Bluth clan of Fox's ratings-challenged "Arrested Development" is also headed for the exit after Fox cut the third-season order on the Emmy-winning comedy to 13 episodes.

Also getting the ax at Fox is "Arrested's" companion on Monday, the freshman comedy "Kitchen Confidential," whose order will not be extended beyond the initial 13 episodes.

Fucking network just canned the funniest and most original show on tv.

Hopefully hbo picks it up. Or some other network. Great show. So many jokes that you miss a lot the first time watching. Very clever with great characters.

Damn.... that sucks. RIP Arrested Development! They always cancel their best shows. Hopefully they'll show us all the rest of the episodes they have shot. I wish they'd get off nelson ratings and start tracking DVR/TIVO recordings. Most of the people that watch smart shows are smart enough to not watch them live.

I was just re-watching the second season. It's just as good the 2nd time around. Such a clever show.

I can't say that I'm sad to see that show go. I know it has a good fan base but they need to focus on family classics like Growing Pains and Diff'rent Strokes where they were able to solve problems in 30 minutes, including commericals of course.

something to do with jason bateman

i would not be suprised if something might be wrong with him, but he doesn't want it disclosed...so they are using this excuse to pull the plug cause he can't continue

I know something dealing with his medical state stopped production a few weeks ago

Ya I looked it up, surgery for something undisclosed.

edit:

USA Today - 1 Nov 2005
LOS ANGELES (AP) ? Actor Jason Bateman of Fox's Arrested Development underwent surgery Tuesday to remove a benign polyp in his throat, his publicist said.

Sucks no matter what. For the show and for him if that's true.

Arrested Development is the greatest show on Television period.. Well, maybe with the exception of Curb your Enthusiasm. This shows how much today's American society sucks..This generation is the worst in the history of mankind. You see stupid shit like MTV and the OC still going strong because all the moronic teenagers of today searching for identity.. I absolutely abhor today's generation of pussies...

Those people are also smart enough to skip commercials. In which case the networks don't care about them anyway.

The average IQ of fox viewers is about 80 - it just needs to be on a more intelligent network. People who watch shit like Nanny 911 and Renovate My Family aren't smart enough to get something as original as Arrested Development. I'm surprised it lasted this long.

So true. Sad to think that its intelligence is what alienated it from a larger viewing public. No laugh track, people don't get it- they need to be told when to laugh.

That's a shame, I got series one on DVD and laughed all the way through. But I can see how it does not fit the usual pidgeon holed comedy.

When will they do Desperate Housewives Two?

It's one of the best shows on TV. It's a fucking shame they had to move it to monday nights. Moving shows to a different night at a different time is usually the kiss of death. I can't believe they did that right after they won Emmy Awards and were trying to find an audience. Maybe, because of dvd sales, the show will be ressurrected just like family guy.

Conspiracy theory? A agree the show is great but maybe to racy for Fox? They tool liberty on poking fun at the government with lines like?

?DNA proof? As far as we?re concerned that jury is still out on that? ? Michael?s brother says.

And in the last episode when Bluth Sr. sees a military Hummer sitting there, he chooses the fake Pope mobile because it?s bullet proof. And when police shoot at him during the chase and glass brakes ? he says Thank God I didn?t take the Hummer.

If you look at every episode carefully I would not be surprised that Fox is a bit to conservative to have such a liberal show on their network.

Fox, like most of television today, is run by a bunch of incompetent corporate executives who have sucked enough to dick to be where they are...Family Guy was the best show on TV and it was cancelled before Fox got a clue..Maybe they'll do the same thing with Arrested Development, if they have any common sense at all, which I highly doubt..

funny thing about that show...
this will be the second time it was canceled. it was canceled after it's first season then it won too many awards for fox to let it go, so they brought it back for round two. too bad about it. i was just getting into it.

i'll have to get the dvds to get my fix
