I have benn searching and came to: Nikon D50 Nikon D70 Canon EOS Rebel XT any other suggestions?

Do you have any lenses yet? I have always shot with Nikons.
I love my D100 and Canon users seem to love their SLRs too. Take em both for a testdrive at a camera store...

Seriously tho, I have no comparative basis. I shoot with an olympus e10 dslr.
Several buddys of mine work with the D70...they seem to like it. |

I would go with the Nikon all the way. Canons are pretty picking on what lens you use especially on DSLR cameras. With a Nikon you can use a whole wide range of lens on theirs.
