You have to wonder why such a big brand name as Penthouse could fuck up and do the Internet thing so badly but then look at Playboy.
1) How much content will really be on the site ?
2) Are you going to really work with Affilates or treat us like sheep and hand out hosted galleries that convert like shit and a few token banners?
3) Do you have any real webmasters with experance working for you?
4) How much Video content is there?

Overall, webmasters who have been sending us traffic have been making around 3 cents per unique 1st page hit. That is alot better than many 'big' webmaster programs out there. This ain't some half-assed nod towards having a webmaster program. If we are going to do it- we want to do it well.
That means lots of banners, buttons, towers, promo tools, and hosted galls.
And I expect to get more stuff to webmasters, and higher quality stuff all the time.

Except for one year, we have always made btw 5-10M online.
Have you done better?

BTW, I have no problem saying Penthouse could have done better on the internet. Launching this program is one step- among many we are taking- to do a helluva lot better. We have grown >25% in the last 7 months, and we are just starting.

thats, wierd..... i was just curiuos last night, so i typed in to see what penthouse was doing online...

and sure enough, they got a nice program getting ready to come out.

I noticed also yesterday, that SWANK MAG, has finally brought out a program now too.

I always thought the Mags out there were always late too the table..... but everytime they do come out with a program.... they come out big.

Yup. The audiotext guys seemed be the first ones to move to the web and do well. The magazine and video companies came late but they have great content, and surfers know the brand so eventually they can leverage those strengths and do well.

You didnt really answer my questions I dont care what your average webmaster makes for front page hits I only care about what I would make and how you would work with me to help US make money together.
Its seems to me that the big brand names have really fucked up there internet sites. They have allways had the mind set that the internet took away magazine sales and caused them to lose money.Because they didnt understand it and refused to hire people who did it costs them millions instead of embracing it and makeing millions.
Look at playboy they finally after losing there arse for so long where smart enough to join with adult.com.

You need to hire someone who has real understanding on how to market your product in this media and someone who is well respected to work with affilates and increasing the affilate base.
You have a great brand name and done correctly should be a huge cash cow time will tell if you do it right.

Swanks program is awful. It converts about 1:6,000. I've made a little over $5.00 with them. When XPays had their program, the conversions were better.

I said at the Amsterdam Webmaster Access seminar on content beware because the big boys are coming onto the Internet. Lensman actually told us it was nothing to be conserned with. He was cashing Playboys check that week. :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

What makes this site different from all the others is it's content. So many scream exclusive is the routwe, then put up a site full of content that is no different from 1000 others sites.

Penthouse is different because their are only a handful of shooters in the world who can shoot for them, and I'm not on that list. So the surfers will see a cut above the normal content. Not saying the "Reality" "Amateur" stuff is not sort after, I'm saying every third site on the net supplies it. How many supply this level of content?

I really don't know what to say. Back in the days, I made a lot of sales and it really converted. Of course, times were quite different. Then, all of the sudden you disappeared and I lost some commisions, nothing outrageous, but something around 1200 bucks or so. All representatives and support and contacts disappeared off the face of the earth. Now you're back, and honestly, guess I'll wait until everybody and their mothers start promoting you, then we'll see

Having said this, I wish you good luck and hope this time you don't fuck things up AGAIN, you really have something great :)

When DMR crashed we lost alot of business and their was alot of hairbrain stuff under Guccione, but Penthouse has totally new ownership, and the dot com new management, since that time. The two guys who own Penthouse now are each worth more than 100M. I wouldn't worry about Penthouse's ability to pay.

Penthouse is a household name. Superb content and sure to do very very well. :thumbsup

There are 3 reason the 39% isn't material

1) They own common not preferred stock
2) They had to take a loan from Marc Bell in order to buy the stock, and the stock is colateral. So Marc owns a note equal to the value of the stock they bought.
3) We have since issued new stock so they only own 22% now.

You may say...mike this sounds crazy. I know.

Webmaster may think iBill was trying to rip them off, when they had their sights higher.

They wanted to raise money in the stock market, and they really wanted to be able to say....we own #1 adult billing company...AND...we own top adult brand company. The reality was not the issue for them. As long as they could say it, and it would seem credible they could find some suckers to pump the stock. As long as they could add the word 'Penthouse' to the bottom of their press releases they were happy.

The result is...iBill dudes do not call the shots at Penthouse. They don't come to our offices and walk around talking on their cell phones. We don't report to them. We don't ask them if we can make posts on GFY calling them assholes. They wanted to be able to say...We have iBill..We have Penthouse...we are going to go thru the roof...buy now!
