CDPaysites

Hope everyone had a good weekend!

I have a new article published at the Frog that I'd like some opinions on.

Adult Site Innovations: CdPaysites
http://www.cozyfrog.com/guides/other...CDPaysites.asp

Basically I am trying to uncover and encourage new ways to sell more adult site subscriptions, reduce fraud, and raise the bar on what people expect for their porn dollars.

Feedback is appreciated!

Interesting read. It's small and innovating ideas that can snowball into something big. Very done/written.

Nice article Cyndalie

Although the idea feels a little dated (as its using post not digital delivery) its probably a good idea to help stand out & as u say reduce fraud.

I only say its dated as Ive been reading new articles about getting more porn in new and exciting ways over Digital TV & palm tops etc... so going to postal delivery seems like a step back.

The closest comparison I can see with digital delivery at the moment is an option to allow users to download .zip files of movies & images all in one go, this way that user has something on their PC of more value to them. But then you still may have bandwidth issues & will probably still get chargebacks...

I certainly believe that webmasters will have to work more with software over the next few years, I think things are moving more that way (ie: new ways of delivering content).

(BTW: cyndie, if u are gonna do what u write then would u consider having a quick chat with me, ICQ: 139617756, u may want to package the content with a privacy app to protect those files, it could come as part of the deal... )

Cyndalie, I have something that may interest you as a [Adult Site Innovations] thing...

We currently run a porn app called http://www.smutspider.com - basically we are just testing it out on the market but users seem interested in downloading porn onto their PC using it. You can download it for free on the site.

Basically the Smut Spider is a categorised porn downloading application, u just choose teh porn category & location u want the images downloaded onto your PC & they will arrive, payment works on pay-as-you-go. with no recurring charges. which users I believe prefer.

Basically, I'm looking for webmasters who would like to take advantage of this software & use it alongside their membership sites or as a new service, I'd really like to know if it could be of any use to webmasters out there.

I'd be happy to allow webmasters to utilize the technology (which took over a year to develop). If ur interested pls contact me.

Cyndalie, do u think this could be a new approach for webmasters?

Firstly the article is AMAZING and well written.

secondly this Smutspider, if its to be used by webmasters as a compliment to their member section it needs some kind of commision plan for the webmasters.

thirdly where does this content come from?

Also you should be able to view the content b4 u download it otherwise whats the point?

I think the biggest reason no one is doing this is because they don't have original content. Joe Schmoe can't just grab a licensed photoset for $25 and then resell it 1000 times on CD - so the only people really set up for this kind of business are content providers themselves.

Not saying it would be easy. The primary concept is that the actually delivery will reduce fraud and people get something TANGIBLE, REAL, to collect, hide, do whatever with. Load it into your palm, that's up to you.

There is definiately some business here for content providers to make a profit in the exclusive resale of content and distribution methods.

RE: Smut Spider - This still does not eliminate or reduce porn from the users drive and reduce stolen content distribution. I know of services that will collect "bookmarked" images and burn them on CD for you. There are many branches off this idea but the primary point is - give them something they can get off to OFF line and ON.

The cross-promotional ideas alone sets some high advantages.
