Looks like they were in in a HumVee and embedded in an Iraqi unit that got hit by an IED. They did have full body armor and headgear on so hopefully they will be ok. They are being treated for head injuries.
I hope Woodruff and Vogt both recover from their injuries.
Since the U.S. invaded Iraq, there have been scores of journalists killed while covering the unrest there. This just underscores how dangerous life remains in Iraq despite the speeches emanating from the White House which try to suggest otherwise.

You mean that the " world is not a safer place " ....
I know that Asspimple is stoopid ... As he says, it is a FACT !
But I can't figure out how he can breathe or type , at the same time ....
Sad ... Like when they say that Iraqis are better now then when Saddam was in power...
Michael Holmes (CNN) was just asked if it was better now for the average citizen and he said the security is much worse. When they were there previously, he said, there was active nightlife; clubs, restaurants, etc. but now most people are inside before dark. He also said it is much harder for them to get around to cover stories than it was.
Mr. President... Are you not alarmed by these events?! Stop sending troops to Iraq. Your so-called war on terrorism is founded on the wrong premise.

No one believes a word Bush has to say anymore. I, for one, am still in shock he graduated from an Ivy League School. I bet it hurt the professors to pass that idiot because his Daddy paid for their leatherbound books.
And that word alone may actually be contributing, in part, to attacks on journalists ... the word "embedded" implies they are somehow part of the military machine as opposed to being outsiders merely doing news reporting.

Problem is that the power is in the hands of people who don't give a shit, as they make $ on the way down.

I rebooted, deleted temp files, history, cookies and everything...still cannot view the news clip. All I see is that fucking gay ass music video from "Rick Roll". Anyone else have a different link to the news clip?
What a shame. I swear all I hear are bad things coming from Iraq. You'd think by now, the US gov would have a little control of the siutation. Maybe they don't because they never should have gone in to start.
FUCK GEORGE BUSH ..... thats one person I'll NEVER say RIP.

No, it's only the media making it look bad! They aren't reporting all the "good" things coming out of Iraq
