Well, the real problem was Platinum Bucks kept assuring me that the ratios would even out with time, so I kept buying more clicks. On the other side of the coin, Sex.com was saying the same thing.

I heard sex.com results could vary considerably over a short time period as they added or reduced crap traffic to their base of quality type-in traffic. It's possible both PB and your sex.com rep believed what they were saying, not realizing some recent traffic source change sabotaged your effort, or perhaps there were other intangible factors at work. End result's the same though; live and learn.

I mastered profiting with them, then they mixed in a TON of shit traffic. Like 80% hitbot. Totally unreal. Barely broke even. I profited with them for a good 2 years before they fucked things up.

I seem to have made 6 sales on the third listing so far. It seems to go better now its more niche specific. Not enough yet.....but not enough to switch sponsor yet. I have always done well with aPC and I am sure they come around.

Same here. I've made a lot of cash with them over the years, but they've recently done some shady things to affiliates as well. It might end up as a news piece when it hits the courts.

hun ratios are typically much higher than other tgp ratios because of all the freeloaders there...
that being said, I still love to submit to the free listings often, cause there are a bunch of things you can do to make money with them! :)

I think my last 3 free listings averaged one sale from the primary sponsor each..

Same here. I had a pattern of profit until they got annoying reps bothering and suggesting shit that didn't work.

i am sure they became worse.. i learned that when you check a PPC and their is barely bids.. you should admit to yourself you are not cristopher columbus and you are not going to discover America.. so stay as far a way from that PPC system as possible.

Proof you don't know shit about hun traffic...

I took time to look at the sponsors tours and could see why the conversion ratio is so low.

I'm not saying anything about what is inside the site, just the tours.

Initial tour impression
It's just the same old stuff that's on 10,000 other sites. The layout, format and approach just came out of the "pre-designed" tour box. It never gave me the impression that these guys have anything different or special to offer. The actual selection of pictures on some tours say it all.

Never saw any real referece to how much content I was getting for my $30 except one that said Thousands of beautiful chicks on a tour containing girls I would show the door to.

Then looking at the sample clips I soon got the impression that once I'd seen one scene I would of seen 50 of them, assuming they have 50 scenes. The quality of the photography was poor, the quality of the pornography was dismal.

Over all I think Pornopat wasted his money promoting this sponsor.

Tough words but what I believe is true. Because;

Getting the hits was the easy part, remember traffic is not king. It's too easy to pay for a banner on The Hun, worldsex, etc. Conversions are KING and GOD because hits just cost money until they convert.

Think of the mindswet of a freesite surfer. He's either looking for free porn with little intention of paying or he's using them like Yellow Pages to find the next site to join. Surfer one is going to need something specail to persuade him, surfer two has seen all this stuff before and been bitten. He's going to take more to convince.

If this amount of traffic had been sent to a site put up be a craftsman of porn the response would be a lot better. APC seem to me to be the type of sponsor who buy on price, or shoot themselves, then throw up a site after site after site in different niches.

They have 9/10 different niches, which ones do they understand as much as the person they are selling to? :2 cents:

Last point, www.paulmarkhamteens.com does better ratios on Ask Jolen and Chameleon Auto Submitter. But then I know the niche better than the people I'm selling to and that hooks them.

Sometimes unorthodox tours do good ... I wanna build a totally amateur 1998 tour for a single girl site and try it out on the hun see how it does

the hun traffic likes basic sites ... not too flashy. look at the top 20 gallery designs ... they look fucking crappy and amateur. That works for me at least.

I agree. I think if you look at it as a free site surfer you will quickly see why sites like this struggle.

Have something different and the surfers take notice. This is the first and most important step. Traffic is useless if the first thing the surfer sees tells him this site is absolutely no different to the 100 others sites he's seen today.

I have an idea for a tour that might just do it.

White page, no graphics, black text, blue links. Talk as the girl and it works like a charm.

I vote this thread most informative helpful for the year 2005.

I will not be trying another sponsor on these 10 listings.
There will be 5 different niches and I have always done well with APC.
I realise I maybe acting stubborn but if I dont make a profit I will at least have learnt something. Keeping it down to the same sponsor might just give me more valuable information so I can use it for a second ride.

Did the movie thing get sorted out?

Don't know about valuable for you, but definitely high value for me. I won't touch APC with a ten-foot pole now.

Pornopat...I actually agree with you on this issue...once you start changing sponsors you will open up a whole slew of new variables and never really have a good idea what you are doing...always find what works best for YOU and tweak it...if APC works for you...keep with em and keep hitting it...they should be happy to have an affiliate like that.....
