Someone asked me what I charge for a lifetime membership to my site.
Here are my money order membership prices:
1 month = $25.00

3 month = $65.00

6 month = $120.00

1 year = $200.00

What do you think I should tell him for a lifetime membership?

$500?? $1000?? Not a clue. Totally just spitballing.

I think it's probably BEST to explain to him that the nature of the business simply doesn't allow for that type of membership.

Perhaps offer him a discounted rate of buy 2 years, get a third year free.

Lifetime memberships are dangerous. If you decide to quit your site in 2 years (and a LOT can happen in two years), the customer has good grounds to demand a refund.

I've had that request too, but I just tell them to stick with the longest option available, because if anything should happen I don't want them to feel like they didn't get their money's worth. Make it sound like you're looking out for his best interests and he'll thank you.

Damn.... that's some cheap membership prices. My monthly is $34.99, and my 3 month is $79.99. Can't imagine going back below $30 for a single month, but then again they get over 100 hours of exclusive video.
