Klitschko was great both in and out of the ring. He was a real credit to a sport that has increasingly struggled for respectability in recent years.

Both he and his brother, who was also a former World Champion, have PhD degrees and speak several languages.

Unfortunately a string of injuries has brought a great boxing career to an end.

I wish him well with his future endeavors...

I can't believe they will hand the belt to Hasbeen Rahman now. What a disgrace.

Oh no, he was one of the few you could stand in the heavyweight boxing scene.

I don't even follow boxing but thought 'WTF?' when I heard that on the radio. Surely common sense would be that the belt be either vacated entirely or just held onto by Kliscko until the two leading contenders battle it out?

He used to be a kick boxer back in the day, and yeah, boxer's bodies take a beating all over, if not in the ring, then in training.

what people still watch boxing? i thought that shit got boring when UFC came out, and youre speaking a fuckin while back there.. why would you wanna watch a UFC match with oversized gloves and no kicks no knees no takedowns no chokes no submissions no nothing? boxing is not representative of who is the strongest fighter, theyre just punchers. good ones, too, but just punchers.
