Anyone know if Best Buy is taking orders?

I also played the Xbox 360 at Wal-Mart yesterday. They had a demo for Call Of Duty 2 and it was absolutely amazing !!

I have 3 Xbox 360s on pre-order (one for me and one for each of my boys). They're ordered through Ebgames.com, Gamestop.com, and at a local Sam Goody store. All of them were ordered the same day they started taking orders, so I should have all 3 of them on the 22nd

Actually, I've been preparing for this momment for a while now. I picked up a Samsung 40 inch LCD (LN-R408D) about a month and a half ago because of the Xbox 360, I even pre-ordered the HDMI cable to use to connect it, so I should be set.

As far as my kids go, I bought them each a new 25 inch tv when we bought our house in June, so they're newer, but unfortunately not HDTV compatable. I'll have to see what kind of quality they get on those sets. I hope that I don't have to go back out and buy 2 more new hdtvs for them. They're kids, so they might not be that picky.

Rumors are flying that the shortage is just another marketing ploy. The media likes to talk about that "one hot toy that's in short supply" each holiday.

I worked in my buddy's game shop for the XBox/PS2 launches and it was the same thing. "First Shipment" was sold out and the second came in the following day.

Don't sweat it, there will be plenty of them and those who are overpaying for pre-paid spots on eBay will feel like idiots.

I haven't played a game system more than once every few months since 2001... but I saw Call Of Duty on the 360 and I will be picking one up! The new NFL Blitz is looking incredible too.

He he he, yeah, I'm the kind of person that HAS to have the latest gaming toy and buys the latest games, so they benefit. I won't let them touch my PSP though

I wish that my dad was a gamer, but he was the farthest thing from one, ha ha ha.

Seems like I'm one of a breed here, I'm a sony gal...but my friend has the box...I will admit, graphics are better and more fluid and crisp... I'll prolly pick up the 360 and the ps3...both seem pretty tight...
