Mixed Feelings About My New LCD TV

Last week, I finally took the plunge and bought a 32 inch LCD from Costco (modest, I know). It's a fairly well-known brand that came recommended. The LCD generally looks great on high definition, but has trouble with fast paced action - especially fast moving bright colors. Then, it tends to pixel out. I'm not sure if this is a Comcast issue b/c this doesn't happen with DVDs. Dark colors also tend to be too dark on high def.

Other than that, the regular channels look weak - even when I alter the scale to 4:3. Pixels and artifacts all over the place when there's a lot of uniform colors. My old regular TV looked much better on all but the high def channels.

Is this just the way it is with LCDs? Should I return it and get plasma/DLP?

I own both LCD and Plasma. I know everyone says LCD is better and lasts longer, but I get much better picture quility (hi-def & regular) on my plasama TV's. Cant comment on DLP since I never owned one.
