There were a shitload of French peeps in those pics who were FAT. They have been eating the fast food and fattening shit over there it looks like. Funny stuff.

and that has what to do with what is happening now?
I think France is a nice place to visit, largely a beautiful country but not somewhere I would want to live. I am sure a good deal of that is based on not knowing enough of the language to have fully grasped the society the times I have been there. I like Belgium better..fell in love with that plucky little country over the years.
From what I have followed on the news over the years and the French films, etc I have watched (which I know are just films) it seems there is a great divide in the country and a struggle with the fight to keep the country 'French' with what naturally happens when the world opens up and starts to mesh.
One difference betweeen American culture and French culture I noticed when the banning of the headdresses in school was in the news was that in the States the idea is to have freedom OF religion while in France it is to have freedom FROM religion. It may not seem it but that is an important difference.
Anyway, I am fully aware I am an outsider and rely on people to translate things for me so I can't have the entire picture. I do hate it when I hear people celebrating the city burning and the like....no one should wish that for anywhere.
