Star Wars 3...What was the big fucking hype about?

They can't even keep the star wars 3 dvd's in stock at Blockbuster and all I got was this BULLSHIT? All it was was a setup for yet another movie..This movie didn't solve shit. And even the one black guy in the movie (Samuel L Jackson) got killed!

The effects were good but this movie sucked...I couldn't believe that it ended where it ended.

Dude, of the 6 or 7 eventful things in the movie you already knew all of them but 1 (that silly cyborg) because you have seen the next 25 years of their story. What the fuck are you saying?

And yes, only episode I was worse.

I waited that whole fucking movie for Anakin to force choke Padome, and he does it for like a few seconds and lets her go. What kind of bullshit is that?

Also, what happened to Jedi swordskills? Obewon goes from being this big flashy swordsman in episode 3 to making little queer fencing like motions in episode 4.

All in all, I think it would have been a better series if it was just about Wookies killing Ewoks. 6 movies of big furry critters smashing little ones. That'd have been more fun.

I liked the movie, SW3..........sure it was no Batman Begins and was lacking again regarding intellectual depth........but I did like it for what it is. But I have to admit, those cartoons are funny as hell.

I knew how the movie was going to end before it even started production. The surprise was exactly how it got there.

It was okay. Not great, but still okay.

First of all.. Star Wars owns you all...The first two were somewhat shitty with the gay dialogue, but they told the story according to how it should have been told. Everything that happened made perfect sense. I think SWIII was 3rd best behind Empire Strikes back and A New hope. I REALLY enjoyed it, especially the lightsaber duels and the amazing actor of Ian Mcdermad(Palpatine/Sidious). That guy truly put on a show. SW III left absolutely no surprises and everything happened the way it was supposed to when you watch 4, 5, 6. To answer a few questions.. First of all, Jackson was supposed to be dead by 4, as were all of the great jedi except Obi Wan and Yoda. Secondly, you ask WHY the Obi Wan sucks it up in 4? Because A. He's old..And B. He is letting Vader kill him to become one with the force to train luke. And Vader sucks it up because he's a fucking machine...Any more questions?

Well, I can think of three reasons for it selling well:

1) It's the last piece of the puzzle. Many people have the other 5 DVDs, so it's just a formality to go out and pick up the last one;

2) The last two movies sucked so hard, Episode III looked decent by comparison; and

3) LCD/DLP/Plasma TV's market share has grown substantially in the last year, and people gravitate toward "eye candy" DVDs.

Of course I did....Back when I was a child...But I can't say that I'm all into the Star Wars Trilogy like that...

But what about people who aren't old enough to have seen the original star wars in the theaters? So now they gotta either rent the first one on DVD before they can enjoy the others? If that's the case, then their storyline wasn't good enough....

I was able to watch the Lord of the rings series out of order and still enjoy it. Even though the one where Fredo was ambiguously gay throughout the whole thing kind of fucked it up.

Nobody said these films were amazing. In terms of telling the story they were very good, in comparison to the oriiginal Star Wars trilogy, they were not. But I do not regret watching the 1st 3 and getting the DVDs, and watching them over and over again

btw, and this is coming from someone who likes Star Wars (except the last two before epidose 3), don't watch them after or soon after watching "Batman Begins." SW seems so intellectually pedestrian compared to the great script behind BB. but taken for what they are, I think SW3 is enjoyable and a good way for Lucas to end SW, on a good note and note a bumb one, which is the way it would have been after 1 & 2. But yeah, not recommended viewing soon after "Batman Begins."
