Yeah this ain't no fucking tech board but I consider it a 'porn problem' when my 2nd computer cannot connect to my network. Can't ping the name of the name of my first computer.. can ping the IP though. Is there an all night tech support.. site.. or something? Microsoft basically laughed when I said I was using Windows, just another dumb interweb nub. Where do you go when you need something with your machine fixed asap?

Been on Google for a good 12 hours now and renamed both computers trice. I imagine considering the majority of us almost live on the computer there has got to be some more profound ways to fix computer difficulties besides slamming a hammer over the chasis until something jogs free.

try not using DHCP ( set an IP on each pc )

make sure the network names are the same

make sure your firewall isn't fucking shit up

drink a shot of beer a minute.. the problem should be fixed by your 13'th hour
