Real gallery makers who are talented will get listed anyway. Free or pay.

Actually, shitty webmasters would get listed more easily when they have paid a "submission" fee. Actually I like the idea now ;))

hahaha, that is true!!

You guys can't expect to make webmasters pay a fee and not list their galleries consistently. I'm looking forward to seeing lots of shitty galleries with screaming loud blue text on red backgrounds and made with overused $10 content getting listed.

:thumbsup

Soooooooo True. I wish I would've thought of this. The competition forces people to make their gallery better than the next guy's, but you're right if they pay, they better list it.

Of course, what they would do is exclude those webmaster's from being able to pay to submit, and then they are back to square one, with very few submissions.

Either way you look at it, it's a bad idea.

The above is a quote from Spacedog.

Using an auto submitter, smaller TGP's can provide 5,000-30,000 (or even more) hits per day and Spacedog converts "1:100 or better" so Spacedog may be getting 50-300 signup's per day.

Way to go Spacedog. Congrats.

Pathfinder, smaller TGPs may send 5,000-30,000 hits/day to his gallery, but then he has to get a % of those surfers to click his sponsor links. At a common 1% click thru ratio, he's sending 50-300 hits/day to his sponsor. Converted at 1:100 that would be like 3 sales/day, which is not an outrageous claim.

Anyway, this is not a realistic topic. Why would a TGP owner join some kind of co-op/collective, when the site owner could just sell listings independantly? Why split the pie, when you can have the whole fucking thing?

Hey guys,

Not along the same lines as most of you here, but I have hit up some TGP's for " partner" listings, and in some cases I was never even replied to, some I was asked for a monthly fee (about 100$ a month) to submit galleries, and some guys sent me a link to the submit area and were cool, to those I submit! To the others, eat a dick.

I will admit, the first gallery I EVER submitted got listed and it was on the Hun, the gallery looked like shit and made me 14 sales the first day, seems the nicer my galleries get the harder it is to get listed, with my most recent being this Sweet Georgia gallery here was declined by Richards Realm because of the "width" .... get this....the page scrolls about an inch and a half to the right on (800 x 600) and centered on higher resolution... and its too wide for your TGP? Ill never surf that site again nor submit to it, LOL which reminds me, I gotta take down my Richard Submit links on my webmaster pages.

I only make nice NO BANNER clean galleries and you tell me the fucker is too wide for your TGP? This was last week. That was the last draw for me, I got something wider for Richard if he likes :winkwink: Just my 2 cents on tgps for the day ;)

So instead of complaining about the Hun not accepting my galleries, or Richard telling me my gallery is too wide, (which still cracks me up) I went and changed all my free pics pics on one of my sites to censored images, and took down 200+ links to galleries with 12+ pics on each I had been building this monster for a year now. :glugglug

Haven't exactly found the way I aim to "sell them on it", but shit SexyKey is Free, and I dont need people who cant afford free surfing my site anymore, so....I took all the links and put them behind SexKey (free AVS), I guess we shall see what happens? :(

By no means am I a big TGP site, but I had LOTS of galleries I have made over the years, and just tons of shit for free, with nothing to lose, I doubt the sales I make will change for the worst, I bet they increase, I KNOW they Will, .... I hope they will .....I actually think censored images may get people clicking around your page more... :thumbsup

he's right.

One might add, the same gallery was "autodeclined" by the Hun for too aggressive of a sponsor.... :(

I'm not too sure either. I think because they dont want their surfers to find out that top listings are paid for...might leave a bad taste in their mouths
