Dear Legendary Lars

Hello!

Could you please either kill the AFF pop-up that spawns with every login to the member home page about choosing your Instant Messenger or make it so that users can permanently select if they don't want to see it again?

Thanks!

Brad and Melissa

how about just using firefox or a popupblocker if you're not-so-cool.

Because I like pop-ups

Besides, I actually think they get around that... I know it's enabled on my home PC just not here at the office but I think that they're smarter than the blocker, possibly. I'll have to check when I get home.

...and, I should comment that it doesn't appear to directly be a revenue producing pop-up.... it's almost like getting a system message from them. I would never ask them to take down a revenue producing popup... we all deserve those

Hey Brad.

Log into your account.
Close the non-revenue generating popup.
Click on "My Account" in the menu bar.
Click on "Chat Preferences" in the bottom right hand box.
Toggle your "Popup Settings" which is the last one on that page.
Offer Lars one year of free hosting for AFF in exchange for the return to sanity.

Damn, you guys think of everything!

I just want to give AFF some props. I don't know if there was any correlation but my numbers with the same traffic pre and post Lars were very different. Much, much higher! And I never made any changes. You guys can look at my account to see for yourself... Small traffic and numbers but you know what... AFF is the only thing that made money when I owned the free host!! If I only would have switched to the geo-ads... The new owner is making twice as much as I was and now I feel like an idiot because I even knew enough to tell him to put the geo-ads in. LOL

I have a good webmaster promotion idea for you. You should give away a a free 12 month gold account to current and new affiliates, if they want it! And make sure it includes Standard Contacts... <snicker>

Cheers,

Brad
