Does your CCBILL envelope come sealed?

I started using ccbill recently and the second time my envelope did not come sealed. I am in Canada so i am thinking is it the border guars, postman, or some dumb ass in my building.

The checks are not taken but the envelope is open (it is not opened roughly or maybe it was never sealed?)

I've had mine arrive several times not sealed at all.

Thank goodness the check's never fallen out yet though, hehe.

Why on earth would I spend a penny more than absolutely necessary to get my money? 15% is more than enough already without taking on "delivery fees", thanks.

My CCBill check envelopes occasionally arrive open, but it's down to crappy envelopes.

Anyway, I'm switching to wire soon, so it doesn't really matter anymore.

I pay $30 to get a wire sent... my bank charges about the same amount and I have to drive to the bank and stand in line while they try to figure it out..

why do even banks bother accepting checks these days anyway? so much hazzle with them...sending a piece of paper with an amount via postal service in 2005 is just stoneage..

Right, CCBill charged $15 domestic, most banks charge the same fee, so you're looking at $30 / week to get your money.

$30 per week * 52 weeks in a year = $1,560 extra a year just to get money that's already mine sent to me?

I think not.

Not many european banks like checks thats why they are so expensive to cash in. Everytime i cash one the bank tells me todo a wire, paypal or anything electronic transfering my money. They really don't want the checks.

They also wonder why US is so behind with checks that was outdated in the 80'ies here.

Yup, mine does.

The way to do it is to set up a US account right at your bank. Ask your bank about it. I can go up to the teller with all my website cheques and deposit them for free into my USD account. I then do a transfer from the US account to my Canadian account, which is also done for free.

But if I were to try and deposit my US cheques directly into my Canadian account then yes, there is a small fee per-cheque.

I'm with the other guy, why spend money you don't have to?

And, regarding the original topic.... yes, from time to time my CCBill envelope has arrived unsealed.

And it's a little unsettling.

Neither do I, and I explained how. You may want to read it again.

Mine arrive unsealed from time to time as well. Its the few times that they've arrived ripped open that make me nervous.

Do they charge you for the stamp? That always seems so unprofessional. The .37 charge.

I'd easily pay $30 to avoid waiting for the checks to arrive. Driving to the bank, waiting in line, waiting while 5 different guys try to figure out how to cash a check.

When they've figured it out they normally tell me to go fuck myself and start doing wires. Checks are truly a hazzle for the sender, the reciever and the banks.

Have the same problem here, tellers lookiing at me like Im fresh from 1982 and figuring what the hell to do with US checks. Then after much debate they cash them all at $20 a piece. I come back next week with new bunch of checks and same shit. On and on.

THANK YOU epassporte.

I agree. Why would I waste $35 with every wire?
The interest rates give me at most $1 back if I'm very lucky.

I've had a few that were not sealed all the way. I got a check yesterday though that was in a different envelope and sealed pretty damn good.

It's been about 2 years now that all checks from CCBill come with a tear and unsealed about one inch on the left corner of the envelope. Me thinks they need to fix their envelope machine

I'm in Australia. I've been getting cheques from ccbill for a couple of years, I can't recall ever receiving one that wasn't 100% sealed as you would expect...
